You might as well start exactly that--count all the stars rather than watch this movie. It is the old formula--poor girl, rich boy, poor becomes rich, rich becomes poor, voila--you know the conclusion. Nora Aunor has since redeemed herself as she turned out to be one of the Philippine cinema's finest. The moment this movie "jumped the shark" for me was when her character, newly wealthy, started to refer to her mother (Inay in the Pinoy caste systemis the term of address to mothers of poor people) as "Mama". It was too painful to watch the movie after that---the price made it easy to shred:-) Two thumbs down for mediocrity.
